Last week, the Athletes4Society consortium gathered in the beautiful city of Cascais, Portugal, to participate in a second physical meeting with all project partners. We would like to thank our Portuguese partners for the warm welcome and for their hospitality!
Our two-day visit was filled with intense, but very fruitful meetings. One of the main points on the agenda was the optimalisation of our A4S toolkit and bootcamp. During our meeting, we have made some great progress. As a result, we are now ready to finalize our toolkit and bootcamp and subsequently inspire you to develop your own athlete role model programme.

This project meeting was linked to a Multiplier Sports Event. During this event, we discussed how sport stakeholders can actively manage the social impact of elite sport and we inspired them to create or optimise their own social impact programme that engages athletes to create this impact. Moreover, a round table session was held regarding the challenges and opportunities for elite sport’s impact on society. We would like to thank Susana Feitor, Diana Gomes Pedras, Carlos Andrade and Inês Caetano for their inspiring contribution.

Furthermore, we launched our A4S Challenge which is an open call to all athletes, sport federations and sport organisations in Europe to reveal their programme and inspire others. Do you want to inspire too? Join the A4S challenge!
