Finally! Our first physical project meeting (Helsinki, Finland)

For the first time through the project, we could finally leave our online meeting tool behind and meet physically with our academic partners. The academic partners of the Athletes4Society consortium had a fruitful two-day meeting from the 11th to the 13th of April in Helsinki, Finland. Our Finnish partners provided a warm welcome in a beautiful hotel with a modern meeting room. After a nice welcome dinner, the floor was open for an intensive but valuable two-day meeting. Main points on the agenda were the developing of the Athletes4Society framework on how public value can be created using elite sport role models and the preparation of work package 4: the development of the Athletes4Society toolkit and bootcamp. Our Finnish colleagues did an excellent job in hosting the partners with such a good care, which enabled the academic partners to have a constructive and productive meeting. Several big steps were taken that will improve the quality of the project, ranging from practical arrangements up to content-specific improvements.

We are looking forward to our next physical meeting in September where we will finally meet all project partners in real life!
